THREE men have appeared in court this morning after being charged in connection with an alleged incident in Broadstone, Poole, on Thursday night.

Peter Stapleton, 48, of Towngate Drive, Manchester, his brother Andrew Stapleton, 37, of Wentworth Drive, Broadstone, and Mark Shaw, 40, of Blandford Road, Poole, faced a charge of conspiracy to rob at Bournemouth Magistrates Court.

The court was told that all three had been charged with conspiracy to rob G4S Security between May 6, 2014, and May 23, 2014.

No application for bail was made in relation to Peter Stapleton and he was remanded in custody.

Andrew Stapleton and Mark Shaw were granted conditional bail.

All three are next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, May 29.

At around 8pm on Thursday multiple police units were called to Lower Blandford Road, near the Nationwide Building Society.
