A MAN allegedly threatened shop staff with a hammer before making off with cash, police said.
Officers were called to Leigh Park Stores in Wimborne at 3pm on Sunday.
It is alleged that a man entered the store and threatened staff with a hammer making them hand over cash. He left the store but was quickly arrested by officers nearby.
A 43-year-old man from Wimborne, has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon and remanded in custody.
