AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn and goalkeeper Benji Buchel visited Winton Primary School to celebrate the extension of the C4L sponsored project Connect With Care.
The scheme, which aims to educate pupils about potential dangers when using the internet, was originally scheduled to run for the length of the academic year, but has now been extended for a further two years.
C4L CEO Simon Mewett also attended the latest Connect With Care session which taught Year 6 pupils how to stay safe on the internet.
To date more than 20 sessions have been delivered by the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust, which have proved to be invaluable for parents, pupils and teachers.
“It is a real privilege to go out into the community and see the good work the club does off the field,” Mostyn said.
“The subject of internet safety is a very modern issue, and the Community Sports Trust and C4L are delivering a project which ensures our children stay safe while using the internet.”
