YOU’RE fired! Those are the words you won’t want to hear if you take part in a charity Apprentice Challenge.

Styled on the famous BBC TV show starring Sir Alan Sugar, Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus is holding its own Apprentice event in Bournemouth.

The challenge will take place from 9am to 5.30pm on Thursday June 4 at The Cumberland Hotel, which is sponsoring the fundraiser.

The money raised will support children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities.

Teams of six are invited to take part in three Apprentice-themed tasks.

They will then compete against each other in order to succeed and win on the day.

There will also be a pre-event task for participants to complete before they arrive on the day.

The challenges will be themed around equality, diversity and disability; therefore this means that participants will learn a lot on the day, as well as, of course, having fun.

Eric Garlick, one of the adults the charity supports, will be taking on the role of business man Alan Sugar, pictured left, and his team of judges will include Diverse Abilities staff.

Lottie Forte, who works at Diverse Abilities Plus and is organising the event, said: “If you enjoy working in a team, are creative and want to give something back to a fantastic local charity, while having great fun, this is definitely the event for you!”

To enter the Apprentice Challenge the team fee is £100.

The minimum age for entry is 18 years.
