A MEETING to consider whether Dorset residents should pay more for policing will be screened live online.
The Dorset Police and Crime Panel will meet on Thursday, February 6 at County Hall, Dorchester to scrutinise a recommendation to increase the police precept by 1.9 per cent.
And residents can follow the dicussion over the internet by visiting webcasting.dorsetforyou.com/core The crime panel is made up of representatives from the county council, all of Dorset’s borough and district councils, Bournemouth and Poole councils plus two independent members. Their job is to hold the Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill to account and review his council tax proposals.
They have the power to recommend the commissioner reconsiders his proposals if members dlislike them.
