THE A31 at Ringwood was closed for an hour this evening after a car crashed into the central reservation between Ashley Heath and the town.

Dorset Police, which dealt with the incident, said they were called at 7.10pm after the blue Audi A4 collided with a DAF lorry and then hit the central barrier.

The road was closed while the scene was dealt with, but nobody was seriously injured, a spokesman added.

It reopened at 8.10pm.

As a significant proportion of the bus drivers at Poole Bus station are massively overweight and smoke like chimneys I hope their employers have their medical checks, particularly eye tests, which can deteriorate really quickly with diabetes, up to date.
