Updated 3:59pm Wednesday 8th January 2014 in News
TRAFFIC delays built up near the junction between Lindsay Road and St Aldhelm’s Road today as engineering work was taking place.
The improvement works form part of the Three Towns Travel project and are expected to finish for the day by 4pm.
Engineering Manager at Borough of Poole, John Rice, said: “Works taking place between Lindsay Road and St Aldhelm’s Road form part of the council’s Three Towns Travel project.
“All the improvement projects within this scheme aim to keep traffic flowing and encourage people to use more environmentally friendly ways to travel such as walking, cycling or using the bus or train.
“We are carrying out the works at this junction between 9.30am and 4pm to minimise disruption to road users. We appreciate there may some delays to journeys while these vital works take place and thank road users for their understanding.”
