WAVE 105 afternoon presenter Simon Clarke will be skating in front of an audience of thousands at the Bournemouth Pavilion this January.
The DJ, who had not skated since he was around eight years old, will be joining the world renowned Russian Ice Stars for their show Peter Pan on ice.
The show’s producer, Julian Deplidge, said: “I heard Simon talking about his visit to the local rink and thought it would be great to see if he was up for the challenge.”
Simon will be playing the part of a pirate, acting as a narrator to make the story clear to the younger members of the audience.
He said: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified.
“However, I love a challenge and it’s going to be amazing to be part of such a fabulous show.
He will be joining a cast of 23 ice skaters, many of whom are former Olympic competitors.
They have performed to audiences all over the world and have previously received national acclaim for their interpretations of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Peter Pan On Ice runs from January 9-12.
