A HAMPSHIRE woman pleaded guilty to seven counts of possessing indecent images of children yesterday.

Davina Ayrton, who was born David Ayrton, admitted having more than 4,000 images in her possession in Fordingbridge in March last year at the hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Aside from one extreme image at level four, most were rated at level one – nude poses with no sexual activity – and involved children aged between three and 14 years.

Judge John Harrow said: “All sentencing options including imprisonment will be open to the sentencing judge.”

Prosecutor Stuart Ellacott said the Crown would be applying for a Sexual Offences Prevention Order to be made.

The 32-year-old – formerly of Christine Miller Road, Salisbury, but currently living in a Fordingbridge mental health residential home – was released on bail with a residence condition, until sentencing on January 17 next year.
