COMMUTERS faced rush hour chaos this morning after rails were switched off due to a person on the lines.
Train operators stopped trains running between Southampton and Basingstoke this morning after a trespasser was spotted on the line.
It meant that trains travelling from Southampton to Waterloo are delayed while the incident near Eastleigh is dealt with.
Some services were diverted via Portsmouth.
Trains were operating normally by 12pm.
