CHRISTMAS shoppers can now back a Ferndown charity without paying a penny.

The Bus Stop Club, which serves residents living in the Heatherlands area, provides a job club, budgeting and debt management course, victim support, a listening service, IT lessons, health walks and a community cafe.

This year, those doing their Christmas shopping online will be able to donate money through easygiving.org.uk, which links major online retailers including Amazon, eBay and Tesco to charities.

Businesses will donate to a good cause of the shopper’s choice when a purchase is made, so it doesn’t cost more than the price of goods bought to donate.

Charity backer Annie Walters said: “You can join easygiving.org.uk for free and, when you shop with any of the linked retailers, supply the URL for the Turbary Resource Centre – trcferndown.uk – and your donation will be assured, as well as gratefully received.”
