A man wanted by police tackling drug dealing in Dorset has been arrested.

Officers last week released images of five wanted people wanted in connection with the initiative and asked for the public’s help to track them down.

The appeal follows one of the biggest drug operations in Dorset in recent years.

In July this year, undercover officers targeted a number of addresses in Boscombe on suspicion of drug misuse and supply, with a total of 38 people being arrested and 34 charged.

Shane Peter Smith, 25, formerly of Portland and now living in Bournemouth was arrested in Plymouth last night.

He is currently in police custody.
