THE Tesco Extra at Poole’s Tower Park is to unveil an extensive revamp.
The changes are part of the ‘Building a Better Tesco’ programme which will see 650 stores refurbished.
Tesco says there will be an improved shopping environment and new services including a pizza counter and a new-look technology and entertainment area and F&F clothing department.
Some of the changes are new concepts being rolled out nationally by Tesco, including new look meat and fish counters, grocery, fruit and veg and bakery departments. There will also be a Timpson concession for shoe repairs and dry cleaning. A family-friendly Giraffe restaurant is due to open in the autumn.
An official launch takes place on Monday, August 11, 10am, with Poole’s lifeboat station due to receive £500 and customers treated to cakes and refreshments.
Store manager Andy Hossack said: “All the changes have been made with our customers in mind and will mean shoppers will be able to get the best possible experience when they shop with us.”
