A 21-year-old man whose body was hanging in a tree for nearly three years died of appearances consistent with ligature suspension, an inquest heard.
The remains of Jurij Sliachtecov, pictured right, were discovered at Bournemouth’s Meyrick Park golf club on April 1. The Lithuanian student had been missing since May 2011.
Deputy Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen heard Mr Sliachtecov was identified through DNA analysis and items on his person. His last known address was in St Peter’s Road, Bournemouth. Dorset Police were alerted after a dog pulled an arm from the undergrowth.
Numerous appeals for information were made by family and friends after Mr Sliachtecov was reported missing.
The Bournemouth inquest was adjourned for further inquiries and will resume on July 24.
