THREE men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged attempt to rob a security van in Broadstone.
Andrew Stapleton, aged 37, of Wentworth Drive, Broadstone and Mark Shaw, 40, of Blandford Road, Poole appeared in person at Bournemouth Crown Court.
Peter Stapleton, 48, from Towngate Drive, Manchester appeared via a video link from prison.
All three are charged with conspiracy to rob G4S Security between May 6 and May 23.
Their arrests followed an incident near the Nationwide Building Society in Blandford Road just after 8pm on Thursday, May 22.
No pleas were entered and the case was adjourned until July 25 for a Plea and Case Management hearing.
Peter Stapleton was remanded in custody with the other two defendants given bail.
