HUGE puppets will be parading through Bournemouth Square and Gardens today.
Created and operated by students from the Arts University Bournemouth, the four puppets, which represent Britain, France, Austria-Hungary and Belgium, will be strolling through the town centre to promote the student’s upcoming play Oh What a Lovely War!
The play combines live music, dance, songs and sketches to create a picture of life for those on the front line and those behind it.
It will be showing at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole on Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24, from 7.30pm. There will be an additional matinee performance on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £16.50 and are available by calling 0844 406 8666 or visiting lighthousepoole.co.uk.
