FOUR of Isle of Purbeck running events have joined together to create the Purbeck Trail Series, it has been announced.
The series will be open to all runners – who score points by entering at least one of the four races – with a maximum of three events counting towards their final score.
For those competing in all four, their best three scores will be counted.
The runs are: l Studland Fun Run, 5km, August 24 l The Beast, 13 miles, August 31 l The Purbeck Marathon, September 14 l Studland Stampede, 12km, October 12 A Purbeck Trail spokes-man said: “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase what Purbeck has to offer.
“The Purbeck Marathon has already been rated by Runners World as best marathon in the UK.
“These four events tog-ether present, not just an off-road challenge for run-ners, but also the opportunity to enjoy running through some spectacular scenery.”
There are no additional costs to enter the Purbeck Trail Series, other than each individual race’s standard entry fee.
Runners entering any of the four events will automatically score points for the series.
