Police hunt sex attacker after young woman seriously sexually assaulted in Bournemouth

DETECTIVES in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a serious sexual assault in the town – with officers releasing a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with.

The incident occurred some time between 5.30am and 7.30am in the early hours on Sunday 26 January 2014 at premises on Christchurch Road.

The victim, a 22-year-old Bournemouth woman, was not injured.

Detective Constable Katy Dennis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release an image of a man I would like to speak with.

“The incident has left the victim very shaken and frightened.

“I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact me in confidence, as soon as possible.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident numbers 26:151. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
