THE Point to Point race at Badbury Rings will take place on Sunday, February 25.
The sporting event near Wimborne features six point to point races, including the Wessex National, as well as terrier racing and shops and a licensed bar and bookmakers.
The event attracts around 3,000 punters to the three-mile course, with around 100 runners taking part, including men’s and ladies’ opens and a CA Club race for novice riders.
Countryside Alliance chief executive Tim Bonner said: “I would like to thank everyone who returns year on year to Badbury Rings and our sponsors, including Savills, for making it such a success.”
And David Cross, Savills’ head of southern rural, said: “The Badbury Rings point-to-point is a very popular local event and we are delighted to support the Countryside Alliance Foundation and Weldmar Hospicecare for another year. We look forward to welcoming visitors onto our stand for refreshments."
Entry to the event is £30 per car or £15 for single occupancy.
Patrons’ tickets – providing a car-pass and day-long hospitality in an exclusive marquee (sponsored by the NFU) with access to a viewing platform - are also available at £35 per head.
