SEVERAL cats and dogs staying at a Dorset rescue centre are now looking for their forever homes.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue, which has two rescue shelters in the county, has revealed the details of the latest animals in its care.

Among the dogs looking for a new family are Bert, Lulu and Blue.

Bert is an 18-month-old rough coated Lurcher who is looking for an active family. He can live with another dog and children over the age of, but not with cats or small furry animals.

Lulu, a five-year-old Lurcher, would be happy living with a like-minded dog, according to the staff, but would prefer not to live with small furry animals or cats.

He can live with children aged 12 and over.

Three-year-old greyhound Blue is hoping to find a family who love the outdoors but will also give him lots of cuddles.

He could live with a female dog and children over the age of eight, but not with cats or small furry animals.

Three cats who are also in need of forever homes are Bella, Patch, and India.

Bella is eight-months-old and is described as a “sweet girl who can be quite outgoing” by Margaret Green staff.

She could live with older children and could possibly live with a cat-friendly dog, but would like to be the only cat in her new home.

Patch, who is two-years-old, is also a friendly feline who is looking for a new home where she is the only pet.

She can be timid at times so if she lives with children in her new home, they would need to be fairly quiet, staff say.

Finally, India, who is around eight-years-old, is also very timid, but “loves a fuss” once she gets to know someone. She is looking for a forever home with no other pets and no young children.
