POLICE are asking for help finding a missing vulnerable elderly man.

Dorset Police said 71-year-old Clive Stevens left his home in Glenmeadows Drive, Bournemouth, at some point on Tuesday morning but has not returned.

He was reported missing yesterday afternoon and officers have searched the area but have so far been unable to find him.

Chief Inspector Wayne Nock, of Dorset Police, said: "Following our appeal, we have now received information that Clive was seen between 12pm and 1pm on Tuesday in Branksome Hill Road heading toward the heath and have been given photos from this encounter.

“We still have not located Clive and are very concerned for his welfare. Clive can become easily confused and may not know how to get home.

“Clive is about six feet tall and has grey hair. He is wearing a blue jacket, a tweed cap and is carrying an orange umbrella.

“Anyone who has seen a man matching the description should contact Dorset Police urgently.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Clive’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 27:283.
