Children looking up to the sky on Christmas Eve might just catch a glimpse of Father Christmas and his sleigh on his way around the globe.
Unless of course they already know about the International Space Station.
The bright light will be the ISS, which is due to pass over the UK between 5pm and 6 pm on December 24, and again a little later in the evening.
A rapidly-spreading campaign on Facebook encourages parents to invest the space station's passing with a touch of Christmas magic.
According to NASA, if the sky is clear, the ISS will be visible over Bournemouth at 5.21pm for 5 minutes - coming in low from the West - and 6.58pm for 1 minute, coming in very low from the South West.
