THE £228,000 resurfacing works around a busy main road through Parkstone are due to be completed today.
Workmen from Borough of Poole have been carrying out improvements along Bournemouth Road and are expected to finish today, with staff onsite from around 8.30am to 4pm this afternoon.
A section of the road between Church Road signal junction and Courtenay Road was being resurfaced this week.
Stuart Priest, highway maintenance technician at Borough of Poole, said: “This completes £228,000 worth of major improvements which have been carried out in and around Bournemouth Road over the last year.
“We would like to thank everyone for their patience whilst these improvements have been carried out.”
Resurfacing work was carried out during the school half-term holidays to minimise disruption to residents and road-users, said a Borough of Poole spokesperson, while all businesses in the area remained open as normal.
