Someone burnt the toast - £25 a slice too.

Just a joke - glad no one is aparently injured.

Why is the ferry not sailing for 3 hours? Has the fire spread that far.

I came on here early in the evening and posted that I hoped it would all be sorted out soon as I do like going to Café Shore, have been quite often, I was obviously concerned to read of the fire.

However, on returning to check on happenings I see my post has been removed, anyone explain what the heck was wrong with it? Saying that you hope all we be ok and you like the place, come on mods!!!

That's the most excitement we've had down here since the night of the big flood! Eight fire engines, several support vehicles, police cars AND the ferry guys got to go home early too!

Koh Noi Thai restaurant has added this to their Facebook page. Sure there'll be lots of similar messages of support from other businesses:

"Here at Koh Noi we're very sorry to hear of the accident at Cafe Shore this evening. We're told your team handled everything extremely well, and we wish you all a speedy recovery, we're just down the road if you need any assistance."

A sure fire winner for 'The most brazen and blatant attempt at free advertising thinly disguised as empathy' award of the year.
