A WOMAN in her twenties was injured in a crash with a car this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Wallisdown Road in Poole around 4.30pm after reports of a collision outside Tesco Express.

The injured person, a pedestrian, was conscious and breathing but complaining of back pain.

She received cuts and abrasions and was taken to Poole Hospital.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the road had been closed at Canford Avenue and public transport made aware.

The vehicle involved was reported as a silver Hyundai registered to a Poole person.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene.

Police re-opened the road around 5.30pm.
