A PEDESTRIAN has been left with serious injuries after a collision with a car near Pokesdown Station.
The emergency services were sent to the scene on the A35 Christchurch Road, at the traffic lights on the junction with Seabourne Road.
Dorset Police closed the road between Kwik Fit and the railway station.
As a result of the closure, Yellow Buses services 1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 2a and 2b were being diverted, but the road has now reopened.
A police spokesman said officers were called 3.06pm after the collision between the pedestrian and a blue Ford Streetka, registered to a Bournemouth man.
The spokesman added that the pedestrian, a woman, had been taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
