Police are hunting a driver who allegedly drove a stolen Mercedes into a stationary car before running off.
The police helicoper was called to help track down the man after a grey Mercedes C320 was involved in a collision with a stationary red Nissan Micra in Queen's Park Drive West at around 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A 21-year-old man - believed to be a passenger - was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
Another suspect made off from the crash and the NPAS police helicopter assisted in a search of nearby Queen's Park, along with the police dog unit. The suspect is still at large.
The arrested man, from Bournemouth, was released on police bail pending further enquiries. Contact Dorset Police on 101 with information.
