A MAN suffered bite wounds and a broken eye socket during an unprovoked late-night assault in a Dorset pub.
The 21-year-old victim was attacked when he entered the Rising Sun on East Street, Wimborne.
The incident happened on Tuesday May 17 but police have just issued a picture of a man they want to question.
They said the victim, from Sturminster Newton, suffered a broken eye socket and had a finger, his face and nose bitten in the attack.
The attacker is described as a white man, about 6ft tall, of medium build, bald and aged 30-35. He was wearing a white or grey T-shirt.
PC Jo Regan, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This assault caused a serious injury and left the victim in considerable pain.
“Following further enquiries, I am now able to release a CCTV image of a man who may be able to help with the investigation.”
Anyone who recognises the man in the picture should ring Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident 17:09, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
