IT was a nice day for a trike wedding.

A biker bride turned heads in Poole as she arrived for her big day on the back of a roaring trike.

Keen motorcyclists Gary and Caz Simpson tied the knot at the Guildhall in front of friends and loved ones on Saturday.

Known as Edge to her fellow bikers for ‘not letting them get a word in edgeways’, Caz jumped onto the three-wheeled machine and was driven to the register office by the best man.

“It was exhilarating,” said the 46-year-old.

The newlyweds, who both share a love for motorbikes, said they wanted to reflect their passion in their wedding day celebrations.

Caz said: “I started riding when I was in my early 40s and I met Gary through riding.

“We actually met through a biking dating site called Biker Match just under three years ago.”

Jeff Cooper, Gary’s best man, added: “And she’s fitted in like a glove.”

As part of his duties, Jeff not only had to drive Caz to the register office, he was also tasked with building the trike just a few weeks before the big day.

He said: “I had the trike half-built and a few weeks ago Gary gave me the task of getting it ready and on the road in time.

“There was a quite a bit pressure but fortunately I was able to get to it finished and I even managed to get her to the register office on time.”

Gary, from Ringwood, said the wedding was exactly how he and Caz, from Shepperton, wanted it to be. The 54-year-old from Ringwood added: “It’s been fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better show.”
