TWO men injured in a collision in Poole on Saturday night are in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
One of the men, whom paramedics found unconscious with serious head injuries at the scene, had been fighting for his life over the weekend – but Dorset Police confirmed he was now in a stable condition.
The horrifying crash happened on Alexandra Road shortly after 9pm on Saturday.
The two casualties were thrown out of the Volkswagen Golf they were travelling in after it careered off the road and hit a wall at Alexandra House Residential Home.
A number of residents of the road alerted by a “horrendous noise” rushed to the scene to try to help the two young men – comforting them as best they could until emergency services arrived.
The men, aged 20 and 23 and both from Poole, were taken to Poole Hospital with serious injuries. Dorset Police are appealing for anyone who saw the car in the area around 9pm to contact them on 101.
