A POOLE company has arranged the insurance for a powerboat in the world’s toughest offshore endurance race.
Coleman Insurance Brokers handled the insurance for the new Vector Martini offshore powerboat.
Vector, the British powerboat racing team and global manufacturer of powerboats and performance yachts, recently partnered with Martini to announce the creation of the official Vector Martini racing team.
The Martini stripes were last seen in competitive powerboat racing nearly 20 years ago and are featured on the Vector V40R powerboat in the London to Monte-Carlo Venture Cup, considered the world’s toughest offshore endurance race.
The race started at Tower Bridge on June 7 and is due to finish in Monaco tomorrow as part of the opening weekend for the new Yacht Club de Monaco.
Tony Pauffley, yacht development executive at Coleman Insurance Brokers, said:, “We are proud to be chosen as the broker for this prestigious team and feel that it is recognition of our expertise in placing business in marine insurance.”
Vector plans to attempt a series of prestigious nautical records, including the Poole to Cherbourg cross-channel world record.
