A ground-breaking ceremony has been held at the site of Bournemouth University’s new International College building.

The 16-storey building will cater for up to 600 students, preparing them for courses at the university and helping them to improve their English.

The project is a joint venture between the university and Kaplan International Colleges and is being built at Holdenhurst Road, on the site of the former Finance House.

It will provide teaching facilities for 600 as well as accommodation for nearly 400 students and a cafeteria.
