Bournemouth Echo: Traffic queues after caravan overturns on Upton Bypass Traffic queues after caravan overturns on Upton Bypass

POLICE and fire crews are at the scene of a crash on the Upton Bypass this afternoon.

A caravan has overturned on the busy road, leading to traffic problems along the route.

However, a spokesperson from Dorset Police said no one was hurt in the accident.

Motorosits have reported long queues on the westbound carriageway towards Bere Regis as a result of the incident.

The spokesperson said at 4.30pm: "A caravan has overturned, but the road itself isn't blocked.

"Traffic can pass with care, and the fire brigade is at the scene to help turn the caravan the right way up again.

"There's a temporary closure on the A350 at the Bakers Arms Roundabout, but a recovery vehicle will shortly arrive and it shouldn't be too long until everything is moving again."

No wonder it takes me so long to get about, here was me thinking the A35, A351 and the B3067 all met at the Bakers Arms Roundabout, but, hey ho we live and learn.

I don't get it, yet another road with no hairpin bends or strange creatures crossing but like Blackwater Junction on the Spur Road, it often has accidents reported.
Glad no one was injured though.

The road itself isn't blocked. So why close the road?

We were stuck for at least 40 minutes a mile from Bakers Arms Roundabout on the A35. NOTHING moved apart from recovery vehicles squeezing it's way down. THE ROAD WAS CLOSED.

I am sure you all sympathise with the tourist whose holiday has been ruined, it sure as hell wouldn't have been a "traveller" moving out.
