IT won’t all be about horsepower at the first-ever Bournemouth Wheels Festival.

Team Extreme will be showing off their tricks and stunts on BMX bikes, skateboards, on in-line skates and scooters.

Crowds will get to see leaps of up to 15ft in the air as some of the UK’s top professionals show what they can do, as well as offering free coaching workshops to get young people involved.

Team Extreme are one of the top action sports performance teams in the UK and they work with 60 of the UK’s top professionals across each of the four action sport disciplines.

The team marked its 25th anniversary last year and, as well as delivering shows across the UK, have performed at the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, the World Sports Awards, Farnborough Air Show and Glastonbury Festival.

Jon Weaver, Wheels Festival director, said: “We’re really pleased to have Team Extreme at the Bournemouth Wheels Festival - they are guaranteed to wow families with daring stunts performed on skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes. There’s nothing better than watching the UK’s top professionals doing what they do best.”

The Bournemouth Wheels Festival runs between May 24-26 and will see attractions around the town, on the beach and on the overcliff, including historic cars, supercars, monster trucks on the beach and cycle racing around the town.

The souvenir programme for the event will cost £7 and will contain detailed information about all the attractions, as well as featuring discounts on grandstand seating and Monster Truck rides.

It is available now to pre-order online at bournemouthwheels.co.uk and will be available from the Tourist Information Centre soon.
