Entries for this year’s Hurst Castle Midnight Ramble in aid of Oakhaven Hospice are piling in.
The event, sponsored by Hoburne Holiday Parks, is on track for a record-breaking year, raising funds for the hospice which costs around £3 million a year to run and helps more than 170 people every week.
Events co-ordinator at Oakhaven, Gemma Sinden, said: “This is such a unique event.
“Walking along the spit to the castle all lit up is really magical and it’s becoming a date people don’t want to miss.”
Hoburne’s chairman, Rosie Kennar, added: “We are very proud to have been sponsoring this event for years.
“Oakhaven supports so many people in the communities we live and work in here. It is a wonderful cause.”
This year’s Midnight Ramble is tonight at 10.45pm from the Marine Café in Milford on Sea, along the spit to the castle.
Entry costs £14.50 per adult, £9.50 per child and £40 for a family.
Entry forms can be downloaded at www.oakhavenhospice.co.uk/ fundraising/events or call 01590 613038.
