GENEROUS shoppers helped to put food on the table for families struggling in Bournemouth at the weekend.
Hundreds who visited Sainsbury’s at Castlepoint last Saturday donated food as part of the Bournemouth University Students’ Union Big Feed project.
Collecting items for food banks in Bournemouth, Poole, Kinson and Christchurch, superstore employees teamed up with student volunteers to gather eight trolleys full of delicious donations.
The Castlepoint branch has been partnered with the Charminster Food Bank for more than two years.
Any food that is still usable, but has been damaged, is donated to the appeal.
