DETECTIVES say they are "gravely concerned" for the welfare of a man missing from an address in Bournemouth.

David Joseph Adams, 29 and from Surbiton in Surrey, went missing from an address along Durley Road on Wednesday, March 5.

Detective Constable Andy Haworth, of Bournemouth CID, said: “It appears that David was very upset before his disappearance and we are very concerned for his welfare.

“Enquiries reveal that he was last seen in Brockenhurst in Hampshire on Saturday, March 8 and he has not been seen since. However, we also have information that he may have still been in the Poole and Bournemouth area between March 5 and 8.

“Even though his home address is in Surrey, he has links with the Poole and Sturminster Marshall areas.

“On Tuesday, March 4, David was due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court for sentencing after having pleaded guilty to offences of burglary, perverting the course of justice, converting criminal property and fraud but he failed to appear.

“The indication is that he is very distressed about his future and his family are very worried that he may come to some harm.”

David’s family are anxious for him to come home and said: “David, we love you very much. No matter what has happened we will support you and stand by you every step of the way.

“Please don't be scared, we are so worried about you and just want you safe. Come home soon, we are waiting here for you and miss you so much!”

DC Haworth continued: “It is important that David, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, comes forward as soon as possible as we want to ensure that he is safe and well.”

David is of medium build and was possibly wearing a burgundy zip-up hooded top when he was last seen.

Anyone with information or knowledge as to David’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 06:127.
