Man detained for being drunk and disorderly after walking along Wessex Way

Police detained a man for being drunk and disorderly after he was seen walking along the central reservation of the Wessex Way this afternoon.

Officers were called to the scene at around 2.30pm after the man was spotted walking westbound from Richmond Hill Roundabout towards Asda roundabout.

Maybe he was on the Westbound carriageway but heading in the opposite direction. It's not very clearly explained either way though.

He was on the westbound carriageway but walking toward the traffic. I watched him walk in front of cars and stop the traffic.

I called the police but it took them ages to arrive - even though they are just around the corner.
