DANCING on Ice ‘All-Stars’ winner Ray Quinn celebrated his skating success by splashing out on a new car from a Christchurch motor trader.

Quinn, 25, bought a Range Rover Vogue from Car-Link of Bournemouth two days after being crowned the Dancing on Ice champion for the second time following his success in 2009.

“I’m on a high still, I can’t stop thinking about it.

“I’ve got the tour to come so that will be good. “It’s nice to see the wife and baby; it’s been a long journey, a long experience, but I’m happy.”

He added: “To walk away with the title was a job well done.”

The 2006 X-factor finalist called his new Range Rover ‘sexy’ and part-exchanged his current BMW motor because of his growing family.

He said: “We’ve got a reasonable spaced car at the minute but I needed space for the dog, pram and wife’s shoes. I had a Range Rover last year but sold it which was a big mistake.”

While Car-Link and Quinn were unwilling to reveal how much he paid for the car, the same model is priced between £18,000 and £50,000 on various motor trading websites.

Car-Link owner Alan Fisher congratulated Quinn on his Sunday night victory and said it was ‘great’ to have the star buying the Range Rover from the garage.

Originally from Liverpool, Quinn now lives in Poole with his West End actress wife, Emma Hughes, who’s from Bournemouth, and their son.

Quinn also played up rumours of appearing at the Lighthouse Christmas Pantomine again after last year’s appearance as Aladdin, saying the two parties were ‘in talks’.

He’ll now appear on the Dancing on Ice tour, which lasts six weeks and will visit various cities.
