The incident took place in Old Barn Road in the St Catherine’s Hill area of Christchurch on Friday February 21 around 3.50pm.
The victim, a woman in her 80s, went to answer her door and found nobody there.

The other man is around five feet ten inches tall and of stocky build. Both offenders were wearing blue boiler suits and navy blue beanie hats.
DC Andrew Burley said: “I am appealing for anyone who recalls any suspicious activity in the area at the time and anyone with any information about the men responsible to contact police.
“I urge all residents to dial 999 immediately if they are concerned about an intruder on their property. It is unlikely legitimate callers would enter the rear of properties without permission.”
