POLICE in Christchurch are hunting burglars who forced their way into a home to steal jewellery, silver and cash.

The raiders broke into the rear of the property in Hillside Drive, St Catherine’s Hill between February 23 and March 3, leaving the owners distressed.

PC Jim Perks appealed for information, particularly from people who have been offered items for an unusually low price or in strange circumstances.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 3:187 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.

My house on Normanton Close was also burgled on Thursday 27th February, as was my neighbour's on 13th February. Windows were locked but forced open from the back garden. An old watch and ring left to me by my grandmother were taken and I would appreciate any information anyone has to help me find them.
