JOB-seekers and career-changers flocked to the latest Daily Echo Jobsfair yesterday.

A wide range of jobs were on offer from 35 employers and CV and interview workshops were available from Best Training.

Claire Newman, recruitment manager at the Daily Echo, said: “It’s been a fantastic turnout – we’re seeing some good quality candidates.

“We have got some new businesses and it’s a greater variety, so there is something for everyone. We’ve seen candidates from school leavers up to retirement age.”

There was a host of employers that were exhibiting for the first time, including McDonald’s, which has a new store opening near Ringwood, the Chewton Glen Hotel, Lloyds Bank, Tempest Cosgrave, Appleberry Care, Tops Day Nurseries, Synergy Housing, Nationwide Building Society, the National Fostering Agency, Yellow Buses and Just Teachers.

The fair, which takes place twice a year, was again sponsored by Bournemouth-based healthcare firm Health-on-Line.

Lorna Frohlich-Cliffe, from the company, said: “We have several different vacancies available.

“There is a good variety of candidates and a better response. People are coming to the stand knowing what they’re looking for.”
