Eddie Jordan’s new £32m superyacht starts sea trials in Poole Harbour before it heads to Monaco

THE biggest yacht ever to be built by Sunseeker in Poole is undergoing sea trials.

The tri-deck 155 Yacht, thought to be worth £32 million, has been built for former Formula One team owner Eddie Jordan, who is now a BBC presenter.

An image of the vessel’s plush interior was revealed by the Daily Echo last month ahead of the yacht being lowered into the water for the first time.

Yesterday it was spotted around Poole Harbour as it underwent its sea trials.

A spokesman for Sunseeker told the Daily Echo that the trials were ongoing and, once complete, the yacht would be heading to Monaco to be united with its new owner.

It is thought that should happen in time for Eddie to show it off at the Monaco Grand Prix in May.

The 155 can cater for a dozen guests and a 10 crew, has an onboard nightclub, a panoramic viewing area, a dining area, a bar and its own jetski garage.

Sunseeker said: “Eddie Jordan has taken advantage of the bespoke element of this superyacht and embraced every opportunity to stamp his unique mark on it.”

When the yacht first hit the water, MD Stuart McIntyre said: “This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world.”

Poole is a dream ticket which millions (nay, billions) of people around the globe would swap with you. So stop your pathetic bleating and get on with your life.[/p]
Having been in the army I to have visited these types of places. Poole is full of tennage mums and drunks/homelss people not to mention the run down high street full of charity shops and betting shops, Pole as a whole needs a lift[/p]
You will have to go to Specsavers, You are talking about that Drug /drunk seaside resort next door BOURNEMOUTH, You must also be one of the locals that have not ventured outside of Dorset, Believe me ,Poole and Dorset is a little bit of heaven compaired to most places in the World[/p]
When was the last time you walked down Poole high street, the amount of homeless drunks along it. As for not venturing out of Dorset, having been in the army I have visited numerous places around the world and had to live to many places across the country and having been travelling I actually visited 30 countries, in my opinion Poole isnt the greatest place to live.[/p]
everywhere is a bit run down to Sandbanks, Bournemouth is a example, cromwell9

Poole has great infrastructure, great social amenities, great shopping, a great council and few public housing estates. OH WAIT.

Still living in the imperial dark ages quoting 155ft.

By working to build something; growing it sensibly, and then disposing of it at the right time. Pretty much how it's meant to work.

As for poole being run down i couldn't disagree more. It may be some parts need improving, the high street is not good with shops being empty. Thats a fault in a lot of places due to high rents and taxes. The quay is still beautiful and the surrounding areas, we have lovely beaches and open spaces.

Many of those that work on the boats are Polish and not "locals", Sunseeker will move it all to China soon anyway.
