THE biggest yacht ever to be built by Sunseeker in Poole is undergoing sea trials.

The tri-deck 155 Yacht, thought to be worth £32 million, has been built for former Formula One team owner Eddie Jordan, who is now a BBC presenter.

An image of the vessel’s plush interior was revealed by the Daily Echo last month ahead of the yacht being lowered into the water for the first time.

Yesterday it was spotted around Poole Harbour as it underwent its sea trials.

A spokesman for Sunseeker told the Daily Echo that the trials were ongoing and, once complete, the yacht would be heading to Monaco to be united with its new owner.

It is thought that should happen in time for Eddie to show it off at the Monaco Grand Prix in May.

The 155 can cater for a dozen guests and a 10 crew, has an onboard nightclub, a panoramic viewing area, a dining area, a bar and its own jetski garage.

Sunseeker said: “Eddie Jordan has taken advantage of the bespoke element of this superyacht and embraced every opportunity to stamp his unique mark on it.”

When the yacht first hit the water, MD Stuart McIntyre said: “This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world.”
