A BLUEPRINT for improving life in West Howe is set to be launched next weekend.

Saturday, February 22, will see the latest monthly Give or Take Day at the Henry Brown Youth Centre between 2pm and 4pm, where people can bring along unwanted items and have the chance to take away items they do want.

But this month the event will also see the launch of the West Howe Regeneration Partner-ship’s document, entitled The West Howe Commitment.

Cllr Jane Kelly, Bournemouth’s Borough Council’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: “We are delighted to be launching The West Howe Commitment at February’s Give or Take day.

“The document outlines all the things that the West Howe Regeneration Partn-ership and West Howe Action Group would like to support the community to achieve.

“The booklet itself was a real community effort as all the artwork, photo-graphy and production was done by volunteers and residents with the support of West Howe Community Enterprises and Gazelle Design.

“This document offers the residents of West Howe a clear commitment from the plethora of agencies and voluntary sector organisations that work in the area.”

Outset Bournemouth, which will also take part in the special Give or Take Day, will be offering information on its free training courses for people interested in starting a business or becoming self-employed.

National Energy Action will also be on hand to advise residents who bring their energy bills on how to reduce their costs.
