RESIDENTS living in the Triangle area of Bournemouth are being urged to be on their guard after an increase in crime in the area.

Police said that the last two weeks had seen a rise in thefts from vehicles and homes.

People living in the area have been asked to make sure their vehicles are secured at all times, with windows closed and doors locked. Do not leave anything on display and consider using a car alarm.

Householders should make sure that windows and doors are locked when leaving their property and consider using timer switches for lights and radios.
