BOURNEMOUTH band Endless Remedy will be teaming up with other local artists later this month to help children and young people who have epilepsy.

The band, who performed in The Square at Bournemouth with Jack FM over Christmas, will be taking part in a Battle of the Bands event in Poole.

The event is being staged to raise funds for a new charity organisation aiming to help children and young people with epilepsy. FAZES is part of Epil-epsy Action, and hopes to raise its profile and that of those living with the condition.

The event takes place at The King Charles pub in Thames Street near Poole Quay on Thursday, January 30. The pub is donating the concert venue free of charge to the charity, and bands performing are giving their time for free.

As well as Endless Remedy, booked to appear are Tirabone, Details Below, soloist Ben Grant and Monotype.

The event starts at 7.30pm with the first band. Entry on the door is £2 and there will be a raffle to raise funds for FAZES with prizes donated by local businesses including meals out and shopping vouchers.

“The evening is as much about raising awareness of children and young people living with epilepsy as it is about raising funds,” said event organiser Holly Murray.

“Sometimes people forget that young people with epilepsy lead normal lives and enjoy every day activities like all other teenagers, including going to rock and pop events like this.”
