A HANDGUN was used in an armed robbery in which around £300 was stolen from a Bournemouth Post Office on Friday last week.

Two men were seen dashing away from the Hambledon Road branch in Pokesdown/Boscombe East at around 2.40pm after holding up cashiers. It is not known if the weapon was a genuine firearm or a replica.

Dorset Police, who launched an extensive manhunt involving the police helicopter after the incident, were due to release CCTV footage today in a bid to catch the offenders.

To date no one has been arrested in connection with the offence. No one was injured during the incident.
