PART of the A31 at Corfe Mullen has re-opened after a two-car crash on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the incident took place near to the Caravan Company on Dorchester Road on the A31.

There was a road closure on the westbound carriageway from the A31 Lake Gates roundabout.

Paramedics were on scene "checking" one person, said the police spokesperson.

The Highways Agency was requested to clear debris from the road, which is due to re-open soon.

A member of staff at the Caravan Company said the crash involved a Volkswagon Golf and a Citroen C5.

He said one vehicle hit another and "travelled 200 yards down the road".

A police spokesperson at the scene said no-one had been seriously hurt in the crash. 

One person was treated as a precaution.
