THE search for vulnerable missing woman Sabrina Boulenouar has been ended with Dorset Police now believing she may have left the country.

The 33-year-old from Upton sparked a massive shoreline search on Wednesday with officers becoming concerned for her welfare.

But they believe she may be abroad and are liaising with Interpol.

Detective Inspector Pete Little, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said further searching around Upton would not be carried out.

“Inquiries carried out by Dorset Police indicate she may well have left the country. We are working with Interpol in a bid to trace her,” he said.

“We are still concerned for her welfare and she is still being treated as a vulnerable person by Dorset Police.”

Sabrina, who speaks with a French accent and has a shaven head, was last seen at her home address along Poole Road, Upton at 1am Wednesday morning.

A huge search took place in the area of Upton Country Park on Wednesday, with up to 100 acres of woodland and shoreline scoured by police, coastguard and Dorset Search and Rescue teams.

However it is believed that Sabrina left on a coach heading towards Southampton and she may have continued on towards London.

"I understand that Sabrina has been very upset recently and her family is concerned that she may come to some harm,” said Det Insp Little.

“She left without taking her house keys, car keys and her purse containing bank cards, though it is believed she has taken some cash.

“She also left her personal mobile phone behind but she did take her work phone and possibly her passport.

"It is important that Sabrina, or anyone who knows of Sabrina's whereabouts, comes forward as soon as possible.

"I urge Sabrina to get in touch – we simply need to know that you are safe and well."
